Rules

1. By entering this competition, all entrants agree to be bound the rules outlined below.
2. This competition is organised by BluescreenIT and Plymouth Sound Unite, here after referred to as the Organiser.
3. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time, or amend these rules at any time without prior notice.
4. The competition commences on 1st November 2007. On this date you will be issued with the design brief for the project. You will also be issued with the project timetable.
5. You will be provided with a collection of stock photography. I f you wish to use any of your own images we will require slips of consent from the parents of anyone in the photograph if they are under the age of 18.
6. You will be expected to complete this project with minimal outside help, and you will be expected to complete a technical interview at the end of the project.
7. Plagiarism of code will be taken very seriously. Any code you do use that is not your own will need to be credited, and be published under a suitable licence.
8. You are welcome to use whatever technologies you see fit to complete the project, however it is important to remember your limitations.
9. BlueScreenIT Ltd will be holding several technical open days during the course of the project during which they will be available to advise you on any issues. You will require parental permission to attend these events, as they will take place out of school hours.
10. Unite, in association with Plymouth Sound, will also be monitoring the project closely to make sure it fits their design brief. It is important to remember that you are designing the project to their specifications.
11. The winners will win £4000 worth of IT Training with BlueScreenIT, to be distributed among the team as they see fit.
12. The winners will also be invited back to judge the next years competition, as well as be involved with the maintenance of their website for the year it is live.
